National Executive Committee
The committee oversees the national organization’s chief executive officer and is authorized to meet and take action between national board meetings when it is impractical to get the full board together for a special board meeting.
National Programs and Partnerships Committee
The Committee oversees the organization’s national programs and national partnerships. While the staff carries out day-to-day activities that result in the development and implementation of the organization’s programs and partnerships, the Committee oversees long-range planning and general oversight. Director of Programs and Partnerships is assigned as a committee member. The Chair is a board member.
National Finance Committee
The Committee oversees the preparation of the annual national budget and the national performance of the organization meeting its budgeted revenues and expenses. The Committee also receives regular national reports on the organization’s performance in meeting, its budget and hence and presents that information to the full board. Director of Finance and Administration is assigned as a committee member. The Chair is a board member.
National Governance Committee
The Committee is in charge of nurturing the national board and being responsible for board recruitment, orientation, self-assessment, continuing education, and management. Director of Finance and Administration is assigned as a committee member. The Chair is a board member.
National Fundraising Committee
The Committee oversees obtaining national sponsorship and raising funds for the designated charity programs and special fundraising events. Director of Programs and Partnerships is assigned as a committee member. The Chair is a board member.
National Membership Committee
The Committee oversees developing criteria for membership, credentialing members, overseeing elections, and developing and delivering programs for the members. Director of Membership & Communications is assigned as a committee member. The Chair is a board member.
National Audit Committee
The Committee selects an outside auditor, meets with the auditor to receive audit reports and management letters, and discusses the management letter with the full board and senior staff. Director of Finance and Administration is assigned as a committee member. The Chair is a board member.
