    • Sunday, April 16th, 2023: 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm **Sign-in begins at 3:00 pm
  • LOCATION: Terasaki Budokan in Downtown Los Angeles
    • ADDRESS: 249 S Los Angeles St, Los Angeles, CA 90012
  • PARTICIPANTS:
    • Only age 18+, women only
  • INSTRUCTORS:
    • Ms. Elisa Au (World Karate Champion, Chair of National Karate-Do Federation)
    • Ms. Sakura Kokumai (U.S. Karate Olympian)
  • REGISTRATION: FREE!  (Preregistration is required to participate)
    • A participant will be gifted a FREE official Guardian Girls Karate T-Shirt to wear during the Seminar
    • Free water and light meals will be provided
  • PARKING:
    • Parking space is limited at the Terasaki Budokan.
    • Please try to arrive early to find a parking space around the Terasaki Budokan.

What is Guardian Girls?

 

Created by the Koyamada International Foundation (KIF) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in 2019, Guardian Girls™ is a global initiative to empower vulnerable girls and young women to defend themselves against all forms of gender-based violence (GBV) through martial arts and self-defense training throughout the world. Following the agreement signed with Koyamada International Foundation, World Karate Federation is developing, with KIF and UNFPA, a worldwide social program that aims to promote gender equality and the empowerment of women by training them to defend themselves from all forms of Gender-Based Violence through Karate training.
